Hello Urban Sketchers,
Our next sketchcrawl is at St. John’s College on Sunday, October 22nd. St John’s is one of the oldest and largest of the city’s colleges and its famous bridge has become iconic.
Meeting at the main gate on St John’s Street at 11am and meeting back there at 1.30pm for the group photo followed by get-together at the 1815 Bar and Café at the Cambridge Union.
College has requested we keep all pathways and stairwells clear at all times, and no sketching on the Bridge of Sighs or within the chapel.
This is a free event.
See you all there!

Kings Parade, Cambridge

Join our August urban sketchcrawl on Kings Parade, which is the most historic and touristic throughfare in the city.

On this line of streets, which includes Trinity and St John's streets, there are lots of beautiful buildings such as the Senate House, Corpus Christi clock, Great St Mary's and famous colleges like Kings,Trinity and St John's as well as many local shops. It's also a great opportunity to capture the people on the move.

Meet front of the Great St Mary's Church at 11am than meet back for group photo at the same place at 13:30pm.

We'll go to Grads cafe in the Univercity graduation centre afterwards for a chat with cuppa.

See you all soon!

Meet at 1pm outside Microsoft on Tenison Road.
We will be sketching the surrounding roads - residential buildings on Tenison Road, new buildings around the station, apartments on Great Northern Road - the choice is yours. At 3pm we will meet outside Station Tavern for a photo shoot, followed by tea at Tamburlaine Hotel.
Those of you who came to the sketchcrawl a couple of years ago when this area was just a building site might like to bring your sketches to show and compare. It'd be fun 😀
